The Segantini Museum is run by the Giovanni Segantini Foundation, which is under the supervision of the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA). The Foundation Board comprises the following members: 

  • Sigi Asprion, Chairman, St. Moritz
  • Peter Barth, St. Moritz
  • Yves Gadiol, St. Moritz
  • Prof. Dr. Joseph Jung, Zurich
  • Rolf Sachs, London
  • Felix Schlatter, St. Moritz
  • Dr. Beat Stutzer, Chur
  • Prof Dr. Franz Zelger, Zurich

The Conservator, Dr. Mirella Carbone, and the Manager, Cornelia Pedretti, are directly responsible to the Chairman of the Foundation Board.

The Giovanni Segantini Foundation, which was founded in 1993, pursues the following objectives:

  • organise and run the Segantini Museum, St. Moritz
  • take care of and expand the collection of works of art by Giovanni Segantini at the Segantini Museum, St. Moritz
  • publicise and mediate the works of Giovanni Segantini by means of exhibitions, publications, loans and events at a both national and international level
  • contribute to scientific research relating to Segantini’s oeuvre in its role as a documentation and competence centre
